CoreNet Global Names IA’s Chad Jeror Volunteer of the Year in Atlanta
IA Associate Chad Jeror is honored for his creativity, commitment, and analytical ability.
The Atlanta Chapter of CoreNet Global named IA Associate Chad Jeror its 2016 Volunteer of the Year. The chapter honors one of its members each year with this award, recognizing outstanding and distinguished contributions to the organization through volunteer efforts and innovative ideas for service and action that transcend the expected.
“We are extremely fortunate to have someone of Chad’s caliber take such an active role in the Atlanta Chapter. When Chad raises his hand and says, ‘I’ll make it happen,’ we know for sure that the task at hand will be accomplished with great style and extremely high-quality results,” says 2017 chapter president and Avison Young Principal Gail Crowder, SIOR, MCR. “Chad is a superb combination of creativity, analytical ability, and organizational skills. He embodies the esprit de corps of the Atlanta Chapter membership, giving selflessly of his time, energy, and imagination, and sharing his enthusiasm in a wonderfully contagious way.”
A nominee must be a member in good standing of the chapter to be considered for the award. Members of the chapter executive committee and board of directors are ineligible for nomination because they review and vote on the nominees. The honoree should demonstrate the ability to deliver projects on time and exceed expectations, provide behind-the-scenes support that enables others to succeed, apply original and creative ideas to solve challenges, and maintain a reputation for high ethical standards, dedication, and the tenacity to achieve committee goals. A positive, enthusiastic, and infectious attitude is also part of the criteria.
“Chad has been involved in developing CoreNet programs, as well as the planning of the chapter’s annual holiday event and signature golf and tennis tournament,” says Angelo LeBron, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, managing director of IA’s Atlanta office. “As his participation has grown over the years, so has his commitment to embodying the organization’s mission of broadening its network, furthering the profession’s development, and raising the corporate real estate profile.”
Jeror currently serves on three chapter committees: Networking, Memberships, and Women of CoreNet. For networking, he works on five events per year, including two of the chapter’s signature events. For memberships, he focuses on growing the chapter in the Atlanta market, working closely with Crowder. And for Women of CoreNet, he champions a brand new mentorship program for the chapter.
“I am so honored to have won this award. CoreNet has given me more than I can ever repay,” says Jeror.
“Chad is a wonderful representative for IA,” notes David Bourke, co-CEO of IA. “He is always willing to get involved—no matter the task. Congratulations on this wonderful recognition from CoreNet’s Atlanta Chapter.”
